Community Supper

Community Supper is held every Sunday, September through June at 4:30 p.m. at the First Unitarian Universalist Church, 23 Pine St. in Milford. The mission is to provide a free, hot, nutritious meal every Sunday for anyone in need. Everyone in need is welcome!

Area volunteers are always needed. Please consider joining or forming a cook team, a set up, a serve and clean up team, or a baking team. Also needed - drivers for the monthly trip to the Food Bank for supplies. If you can assist in any way, please call the church office, 508-473-3589. fuumilford@conversent.net

Kennedy-Donovan Center

Located in downtown Milford in the Milford Commons building, Kennedy-Donovan Center is a non-profit human service agency providing supports for MA residents with disabilities and other unique needs. We provide individual supports, employment supports, Supported Living, Supervised Living, Respite supports, Adult Family Care and Shared Living. In all cases we strive to help individuals attain their optimal level of independence, self-advocacy, and quality of life. Kennedy-Donovan Center supports over 4,000 MA residents and families.

Shared Living and Adult Family Care Providers open up their home or apartment to an individual with developmental disabilities. You do not need to own your own home, only to have a spare bedroom. All

Milford Parent Advisory Council on Special Education

The mission of the Milford Parent Advisory Council on Special Education is to assist the Pupil Personnel Department, parents and School Committee in delivering the highest quality education to ensure that every Milford special education student has the opportunity to reach his/her maximum potential. In addition, provide support to parents with special education children and enhance community awareness, understanding and acceptance of special education issues.

MPAC is made up of parents of children with special needs, the staff that cares for these children and other interested parties. Our meetings are open to the public.

South Central WIC Program - Women, Infants, and Children

WIC - Women Infants and Children: nutrition education and supplemental food. This is a program for pregnant women, postpartum women, infants and children up to 5 years old. Provides nutrition counseling and checks for free healthy foods. Foods include milk, cheese, eggs, cereal, fruit juice, peanut butter, tuna, carrots, peas/beans and infant formula. Must meet income eligibility. All services are free. Please call (508)-634-8012.

Also available, WICS on Wheels which provides an assessment and tracking of your nutrition, checks for healthy foods, referrals, support and education for breastfeeding, and registers you to vote. Call (508)-641-4829.
