How
to obtain birth records :
If you are not able to come
into the Town Clerk’s Office Monday
thru Friday 8:30 am- 4:30 pm ; you can obtain
the record by sending a written request to
the Town Clerk’s Office, 52 Main St.
, Milford , MA 01757 . If the parent(s) on
the birth record were NOT married
at the time of birth, this makes the birth
record restricted to anyone
other than those named on the birth record.
In this case: If you are not able to
come into the office and show us identification,
you would need to have the request witnessed
by a Notary Public . The request
would have to have the following:
- Child’s name
- Date of Birth
- Photocopy of the I.D. witnessed
- Signature and official stamp or seal
of Notary Public
If the parents were married,
anyone can obtain the record either at the
window or thru the mail.
Each record requested is $10.00,
paid by MONEY ORDER (we
can not accept Personal
Checks, Credit or Debit cards) Genealogy: We
have birth, death & marriage records
dating back to 1734, but have incomplete records before
1853. If you are researching
records from the Town of Milford, we ask
you provide us as much information as possible
(names & dates) in order to process your
request in a timely manner. If you do not
have this information, there will be a search
fee of $25.00 per hour in

document. If we do NOT have
