Milford Upper Charles Trail - Directions to Trailhead Parking

Trailhead 1: Rte 16 - Main St, Milford; Commuter Parking Lot across from Sacred Heart Church.

Trailhead 2: Dilla St, Milford; Louisa Lake.

From the South:  

To trailhead 1)  Take Rte 495 North to Exit 20 ( Milford / Rte 85 exit).  Take a left at the exit ramp traffic lights onto Rte 85. Continue thru the first set of traffic lights to the intersection of Rte 85 & Rte 16 ( Main St in Milford ).  Take a right onto Rte 16.  At the next full traffic light at Sacred Heart Church (on your left), you will see the commuter parking lot with the Trailhead entrance located at the rear of the parking lot.  This is the start of the Trail.

To trailhead 2)  Take Rte 495 North to Exit 20 ( Milford / Rte 85 exit).  Take a left at the exit ramp traffic lights onto Rte 85.  At the next traffic light (Wendy's is on the corner), take a right onto Dilla St . 

Follow Dilla St to the bike trail sign.  The Louisa Lake parking area is on your right. This parking area is roughly the midpoint of the Trail. From this access point, the trail proceeds south towards the Fino Field Recreation Area and Trailhead 1 on Rte 16 and north towards Hopkinton to just beyond the Rte 495/Rte 85 overpass.

From the East & West:

To trailhead 1)  Take the Mass Pike to the Rte 495 exit. After the toll booths, bear to the right – Rte 495 South Milford / Cape Cod . Take Rte 495 South to Exit 20 ( Milford / Rte 85 exit).  Take a right at the exit ramp traffic lights onto Rte 85. From this point, follow directions “From the South”.

From the North:

To trailhead 1)  Take Rte 495 South to Exit 20 ( Milford / Rte 85 exit).  Bear right off the exit ramp traffic lights onto Rte 85. From this point, follow directions “From the South”

To trailhead 2)  Take Rte 495 South to Exit 20 ( Milford / Rte 85 exit).  Bear right off the exit ramp onto Rte 85.  From this point, follow directions “From the South”

 Additional Parking

 Parking at the Fino Field Recreation Area:

Follow the instructions for Trailhead 1 continuing past the commuter parking lot & take your next right onto Sumner St (Middle School East will be on your left). At the first stop sign, take a right onto Granite Street . Fino Field is at the end of Granite Street .

Follow the instructions for Trailhead 2. Additional parking near the Louisa Lake parking lot is available on Sumner St which is the first left after Louisa Lake .

Grand Opening Day – Saturday, June 16 th, 2007 - Rain or Shine

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, food, vendors, raffles, used bike donations, bike safety demo, Ninja Turtle moonwalk, bike decorating & parade, karate demos, women’s self defense tips, kiddie train ride & more will take place at the Fino Field Recreation Area which is located a short distance north of Trailhead 1.
